The club was founded in 1974 by a small group of like-minded people who, seeing that the British motorcycle industry was gradually disappearing, decided they would form a club to not only preserve and ride British motorcycles but where possible renovate them too.

The early efforts at renovation were more a case of enthusiasm than skill. But the seeds were sown and over the next decade, the enthusiasm was maintained and the skills of the by now dozens of members had improved to such an extent that the renovated machines probably exceeded the standards set by the manufacturers when the machines were new.

The companionship that the club offers at its weekly meetings, rides and help from older members to the young and inexperienced has attracted more and more people to join the club, which now boasts a membership of over 220.
Apart from the club night (every Wednesday night) and regular runs, there is the annual field event held by the club every summer.

The annual field event is where the awards are presented, bikes are
displayed for the members of the public as well as an auto-jumble, classic car display and a great location at the three horseshoes pub.
(See the club events page for more information on the field event).

The club produces a quarterly Newsletter as well as a wealth of knowledge from within the membership.

The club meets every Wednesday evening throughout the year at -
The Owl, Lippetts Hill, Waltham Abbey IG10 4AL.

More details can be found on the Club Night page.
Why not come and see us there, you are more than welcome.
